Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using rkassurance.ca (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. These Terms apply in addition to any specific brokerage agreement you sign with RK Assurance.

2. About RK Assurance

The Site is operated by RK Assurance, a damage insurance brokerage (cabinet) licensed by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) in Québec, located at 247 Av. Dunbar #202, Mont-Royal, QC H3P 2H4.

3. Use of the Site

The Site is for general information about insurance products and our brokerage services. Content on the Site is not an offer of insurance, and submitting a quote request does not by itself create a contract of insurance. A binding policy exists only once it is issued by the insurer in writing.

You agree not to:

• Use the Site to violate any law or third-party right.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its server, or any related systems.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site.
• Use automated tools (scrapers, bots) to extract content at scale without our written permission.

4. Accuracy of information

We work to keep information on the Site accurate and current, but coverage details, premiums, eligibility, and product features can change. The binding terms of any insurance coverage are set out in the policy documents issued by the insurer, not on this Site. In case of a discrepancy, the policy documents prevail.

5. Intellectual property

The RK Assurance name, logo, copy, layout, and original graphics on the Site are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view, download, and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. Any other use (republication, redistribution, modification) requires our prior written consent. Third-party logos (insurer partners) belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the relationship only.

6. No warranty

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by Québec consumer-protection law, we make no warranty (express or implied) about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Site or its content.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Québec law, RK Assurance and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer-protection rules.

8. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites (for example, insurer quote portals or claim portals). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, practices, or privacy policies. Use of a third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site’s terms.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the new Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Québec. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, except where exclusive jurisdiction is granted to another court by law.
